#stupidlyhealthy moju drinks

These drinks are seriously cool. Not just in that they’re super refreshing, rammed to the lids with raw vegetables (whilst still managing to taste like sweet nectar), and massively hydrating, but they’re just really really cool. The packaging is immensely more interesting than most, and the story behind these bottles of beetroot and kale is everyone's dream. Read my review on Moju's three flavours of PURE AWESOMENESS.

Moju are all about raw, vegan, super healthy drinks that you can drink on the go, without having to load up a juicer with a crate of fruit and vegetables. The juices are cold-pressed and never boiled (never) to make sure every bit of vitamin and flavor is extracted and maintained. It’s also 100% natural, which is nice to know that you’re not drinking lots of additives and E-numbers.

The thing I love about these juices (aside from the packaging) is that they’re packed with vegetables, and are surprisingly tasty. I’m all for putting spinach in my morning juice, but I’m a bit nervous about going full-steam and adding things like kale, broccoli, peppers… things that really should be saved for supper time. My favourite (another surprise) is the Beetroot one – with apple, carrot, cucumber, and lemon. The apple and lemon helped take away any beetroot-weirdness, making it refreshing with lots of flavour.

Moju also do a green juice with kale, spinach, apple, cucumber, celery, and ginger, which is hydrating and tastes mainly of the cucumber and ginger. The other ingredients give it some depth and stop it from tasting of watery cucumber. This is the one I’d choose straight after a sweat-inducing workout.

Last but not least is the orange juice - without the orange - containing carrot, apple, red pepper, turmeric, lemon, and ginger. This tastes like earthy goodness, with the carrot, pepper and turmeric really popping out on your taste buds. It’s definitely worth a try as it is full of skin-healing immune system-friendly superfoods. It's so great that these are very low in sugar (and of course, no added sugar), but they tasty so great and fruity.

The story of how Moju started also has the ability to inspire. Doesn’t everyone dream of quitting their desk jobs to do something that they’re passionate about? Something busy, creative, fast paced – and always a bonus if it’s health or fitness related. That’s what Charlie and Rich did – friends since uni, they gave up their jobs and started making cheap-but-healthy juices, selling them out the back of their car. You totally get that cool, friendly, chilled vibe just by looking at the bottle. It’s really awesome. Go forth and try!

Each bottle is £2.95, and can be found in stockists small and large across London, including Harrods, Eat 17, Bayley & Sage, and Mimosa.
